Short and Engaging Internal Marketing Video
During the project, the U.S. department head commended my clear training videos and tasked me with creating an engaging marketing video to boost project enthusiasm
Project Background
The context of my involvement was a 25-member insurance automation transformation project, where I was engaged as one of three instructional designers. We were tasked with improving the 'quote to bind' process for excess underwriting. Instead of using industry-standard solutions such as Duck Creek Automation software, the company decided to implement a unique, custom-made in-house solution
My Role
My participation began during the Iteration or Construction phase, and my responsibilities were multifaceted. From performing rigorous testing of the system to suggesting UX enhancements, I also monitored the various development segments to ensure seamless progress
Producing Educational Content
IA major component of the project was preparing 25 "How To" videos, each detailing the procedures for completing individual project phases. Regular consultations were essential with Business Analysts and Process Flow experts to keep myself updated about any changes in the project and to understand how these shifts would influence our training strategy
Recognition and Extra Assignment
My work caught the attention of the President of the U.S. subsidiary, who approved my performance after viewing one of the 'How to' videos I'd developed using Camtasia. This led to an additional assignment: scripting and producing a short internal marketing video to highlight the benefits of the project. The President's appreciation for the clarity and simplicity evident in our training materials provided a rewarding conclusion to this project
